Description
Nr. 25. Brouwerij en limonadefabriek z.g. "Bios". Voormalige brouwerij "De Peer", opgericht in 1789 als brouwerij van hoge gisting en tot 1902 landbouwbedrijf. Later uitgebreid met mouterij en hopcultuur (l.g. tot 1942). Sedert 1919 z.g. "Bios". In 1929 werd overgeschakeld op lage gisting. Een nieuwe brouwzaal, gist- en lagerkelders werden gebouwd. Vanaf 1932 fabricatie van limonade en vanaf 1956 vruchtensap. In 1962 bouw van een nieuwe mouterij en in 1966 bouw van een nieuwe bottelarij. Van de oude brouwerijgebouwen bleef enkel een beraapt gebouw met paardestallen en ernaast een duiventil behouden. Het woonhuis zou dateren van 1860, maar is eveneens vernieuwd in aangepaste stijl met gecementeerde gevels en mansardedak met dakkapellen.
